The restoration and renovation of an existing house in the countryside of Tuscany. The family house needed an extra floor for additional rooms, a new division of the interior spaces as well as a completely new heating system. The spiral concrete staircase that connects the two levels is an important element in the house. New round-shaped windows were used in the kid’s rooms to give a feeling of a journey. The restoration process was done in accordance with the family’s needs and included the rebuilding of the outside deck for barbeques on summer nights.
